Took this out on a snowy trail this morning, and the velcro releases so smoothly with just a firm yank that I didn’t have to fumble with cold fingers at all. The heavy snap clicks in securely but stays completely out of the way on my dog’s back, no dangling metal clanking around. Exactly what I need
The heavy snap on this one is loud and reassuring when it clicks, and the Velcro has held up through a full season of mushing. My dog doesn't even notice it anymore, which is exactly what I wanted.
The Velcro closure paired with that heavy snap is exactly what I needed—it releases cleanly when I tug, but holds firm while we’re moving. No clunky metal dangling behind my dog’s harness, which was my biggest worry.
